Rough Cut
What is a rough cut?
The rough cut is the first stage in which the film begins to resemble its final product. The term originates from the early days of filmmaking when film stock was physically cut and reassembled, but is still used to describe projects that are recorded and edited digitally.

What feedback have we received?
(Feedback form and pile pic)
Our rough cut was shown to teachers and students in Harrow ranging from around 15 years old to 40 years old. Most of them are students so our feedback demographic could be identified as teenagers. Feedbacks that we received averages to around an 7-8 for all the questions. Many people really like the editing of the song and the opening while some dislikes the choice of mise-en-scene. People with an older age tends to give us a higher mark and I guess this is because they could understand the torture of relationships more than the younger students which are every innocent and relatively immature.
A few detailed word feedbacks that we received with our last question is to tell us to improve our color grading which is also something I feel that we lack because with the shots I have color graded, it does looks more professional. Another thing that someone pointed out was the shot that we did at the school department. It does not fit into the whole vibe of the MV because first, it’s shot by phone, second, Shirley’s wearing a uniform. If not added with special effects, it would totally take the MV down. So I am sure that we will take it out and replace it with something else.
